On Christmas Eve we treated everyone to dinner at a local restaurant to celebrate my parents' anniversary. When we got back to the condo, the kids put on their PJ's and we roasted s'mores in the fireplace and sprinkled reindeer food on the lawn.
On Christmas morning it was snowing, which was a perfect setting for opening presents and enjoying a relaxing day with the family. Santa brought the kids each one gift and filled their stockings, and then left a note saying they would each have one more present awaiting them when we arrived home. Some of the things Kendall received were: Isabelle (American Girl Doll), Sew Cool sewing machine, a unicorn Stuffie, things to play school with, a Color-Me Lalaloopsy, the movie Mirror Mirror, and a Digibird. Some of the things Avery received were: Isabelle (American Girl Doll), iHome color changing alarm clock, Dragon Stuffie, the movie Sandlot, white board and markers, and a Digibird. And Judson received: Imaginext Batcave, Lion Stuffie, Digibird, Paw Patrol Lookout tower, a Scooby Doo movie, Ninja Turtles, and a Digibird. While we were opening presents we noticed several deer walking through the parking lot of the condos. The kids got all bundled up and Scott took them outside to see the deer up close. They ended up getting to feed them by hand! What an amazing bonus gift for my three city kids! We spent the rest of the day playing with the new toys, relaxing, and making a delicious Christmas dinner. It was all that a Christmas in the mountains should be!
