Daddy- Daughter Dance

Since Avery has aged out of the Daddy-daughter dance at The Hills, it was just Scott and Kendall this year.  One fun difference though was that Mike took Eva this year and so they were all able to hang out together. They had a special night with dinner, crafts, a carriage ride, and dancing.

Since Avery was too old to go to the Daddy-daughter dance, Scott took her on a special date.  They went to BJ's and stuffed themselves full of yummy food and a trio of mini pazookies. YUM!

LTC 2018- "King of My Heart"

This year in LTC, both girls did Bible Bowl and chorus, and then Avery did drama and Kendall did puppets.  As usual, it was a great weekend spent watching the kids perform and spending some quality time with our church family.  The kids always have so much fun hanging out with each other and running around all over the hotel.  It was made extra special this year because Avery's 12th birthday fell on the Friday that the convention began.  Kendall helped me make red velvet cupcakes for Avery to share with everyone after the traditional pizza dinner in the Southside suite.

Honduras 2018- part 3

We had a fun final day in Santa Rosa. We had smoothies at Las Velas and played at the newly renovated park with our friends the Stacy’s in the morning, then traveled to San Pedro Sula to stay the night before flying home the following day.  We felt like we had a quick mini-vacation staying at a really nice hotel in San Pedro.  The kids swam while Scott and I relaxed poolside, then we walked over to the mall next door for dinner and enjoyed some TV in bed before hitting the sack.  We enjoyed the delicious breakfast buffet at the hotel before heading to the airport to check in and fly home!

Honduras 2018- Part 2

We had two great days of clinic at El Porvenir. I think we saw even more patients on the second day even though it rained for much of the day. Avery helped distribute parasite pills and kept people moving along in line, Kendall helped me fit people with glasses in the eye clinic, and Judson helped with the parasite pills and boosting morale among our team. Scott and his dental team have seen 80 patients and pulled 108 teeth so far. On the third day of clinic Judson and I had to stay back at the hotel because he began running a fever the night before.  But Scott and the girls were still able to go and help.  Kendall even managed handing out the glasses by herself with just a little help from Kory.  She worked so hard all day and did an amazing job for a 10 yr old! Luckily, Judson started feeling better after some medicine and rest and was ready by Friday to have some fun before heading home.
