Techno Expo and ACU Sing Song

Avery and her friend Rienn made a Kahoot quiz one day at our house covering what they had learned in social studies about Cabeza de Vaca.  Kahoot is a program that their teacher Mrs Sprowls had used on several occasions for fun as well as for educational purposes.  Mrs. Sprowls was impressed with their initiative and application of what they had learned and she submitted their Kahoot quiz for consideration for NISD Techno Expo. Their project was chosen and they got to present it at Northwest High School one evening.  It was a fun presentation since the audience got to participate by taking their quiz on their phones or tablets.  They did a great job!

Scott and I decided to take the kids to Sing Song at ACU this year since we thought the girls were old enough to really enjoy it and since Bailey was in the Freshman class act.  We drove to Abilene Saturday morning, picked up some lunch at Jason's deli, and met Doug, Sheila and the girls for a picnic at "Jacob's Dream".  After walking around campus a little and shopping in the bookstore, we went in the watch the show.  The kids really enjoyed it - even Judson hung in there for most of the show.  Afterwards, we walked around campus some more to check out some of the new buildings and changes and then had BBQ at Sharon's before heading back home.
