Avery decided to play volleyball again this fall with her team "Dig It" from last spring. She didn't have her close friends on the team this time, but she enjoyed playing with many of the same girls and getting to know them better. She improved her skills, becoming a very consistent server and a player that her team could always count on to hustle and be reliable. We had so much fun watching her games and cheering her on!
Avery and Kendall both had Grandparents' Day this month. They are always so lucky to have both sets of grandparents join them for this special day!
This month we also used the gift certificate to Bass Hall that we gave Scott's parents for Christmas to buy us all tickets to Phantom of the Opera. We took them to dinner in Sundance Square at Cantina Laredo and then enjoyed the amazing show at The Bass. The sets (complete with a "falling" chandelier!), music, and acting were all excellent and made for an awesome first experience there. It was fun to get dressed up for a special night on the town and spend some quality time together.
