Every year before Thanksgiving break, Granger has their annual Turkey Trot. For K-2 it's a 1/2 mile race, and for 3-5 it's a full mile. The kids always get so excited to run the race and try so hard to come in at the top of their grade level. Avery and Kendall both ran hard and placed really high in their grade levels, but poor Judson tripped and fell, so he came in a little further back than he wanted and was really disappointed. I felt so badly for him that after watching his sisters run in this event for several years that his first turkey trot was not as good as he hoped.
