Avery had her birthday party two weekends ago at ASI gymnastics, where she and Kendall take classes. She had her party there last year and really had a great time, so we decided to give it one more go-round. I was all for that since they provide set-up, handle all the games and activities, serve the cake and drinks, and handle clean up as well. This year she decided to have an all girl party, although there was one little brother of a church friend that came and participated. She decided to do a Hello Kitty theme, which was also a repeat from when she turned 3. Avery and all her guests had a great time jumping on the trampolines, jumping on the tumble tramp and swinging on the rope into the foam pit, playing with the parachute, and playing a freeze dance game which was hilarious to watch. My girls, and most of the others as well, were not the least bit shy about gettin' their groove on in front of the parents, and they all seemed to enjoy watching themselves in the full length mirrors. Can't beat a healthy self-esteem! Avery also really enjoyed all the special attention she got receiving a medal, being sung to, and everyone watching while she opened their presents. She had a great time and it was really fun to watch her interact with all her friends. I was really proud of her for saying thank you to everyone for her gifts and for buddying up with Kendall for much of the party. She is a great friend, daughter, and big sister!
