| Our 5 year old Purple Princess |
For Kendall's 5th Birthday we had a Purple Princess Party at our house with some of her friends from church and school and the little girls who live across the street. My Mom helped me out with a lot of the party decorations including making the pink and purple tulle pom-poms hanging from the chandelier, the table centerpiece with Snow White and the Prince, and the floral centerpiece for the craft table. Since Kendall chose to have her party at home, we hired a lady to come dressed as Snow White and play games with Kendall and her party guests. We had a few minutes at the beginning of the party before Snow White was scheduled to arrive, so we gave the girls tiaras to wear and let them string their own princess necklaces. After they finished their necklaces, the girls went upstairs to play, but quickly came down when they saw that Snow White had arrived. They stood by the front door looking out the window anxiously waiting for her to come in. It was so cute! When she finally did come in, Snow White took them all into the living room and played several games like freeze dance and a game with silly hats. Then she showed them her treasure map and they went on a treasure hunt around the house. After they found the treasure, which was hidden on the piano in the study, she took them back to the living room to put makeup on them. They all got eyeshadow, blush, and lip gloss, and then got to pick 3 treasures out of the treasure chest. Snow White finished up by making balloon magic wands for the girls and taking pictures with everyone. After Snow White left, we sang "Happy Birthday" to Kendall and had Purple Princess cake. Then we finished up the party with presents. Kendall received a unicorn Cuddleuppet from us, 2 Minnie Mouse sets, a Snow White color wonder activity set, a princess Leapster game, an Ariel mermaid, an art kit, a fairy costume, a Target gift card, Rapunzel's hair salon, and a coupon for a special day with Mimi and Poppi . It was a very memorable party for a very special 5 year old!
