I have officially dubbed Christmas 2008 as "The Jumpolene Christmas." What in the world is a Jumpolene you may ask? Why, it's an indoor/outdoor inflatable trampoline of sorts for tiny tots. And to add to the fun, it's filled with 100 colored balls that fly in the air when you bounce. Back before Thanksgiving, when I asked Avery what she wanted Santa to bring her this year, she was quick to answer, "a jumping thing!" (just like the one Camdyn and Carter have-- thanks Williamsons for the large, obtrusive toy idea!) But seriously, Avery was so excited about the possibility of her own jumpolene that Santa just couldn't resist, even if we have absolutely NO place in our house for one. Luckily, Santa was smart enough to purchase the electric pump that inflates the Jumpolene pretty quickly. Turns out that Kendall really likes it too and it makes a pretty good playpen, which is a definite bonus. As you can see in the pictures, Santa also brought a shopping cart walker for Kendall, which is a really cute toy. She gets up on her knees and crawls behind it across the room so fast and is starting to walk behind it some too . This year we had Christmas with my family, which consisted of dinner and opening presents on Christmas Eve, and then just lunch together on Christmas Day since we were all headed out to Red River, NM the day after Christmas to go skiing. More on our awesome trip later. The girls got TONS of toys from Mimi and Poppi (my parents), great aunt Milly, and from my sister and brother-in-law. I know that no one cares what all they got, but my girls might enjoy reading and remembering one day, so I'll try to list. Avery- Crayola magic light brush, bristle blocks, a my little pony, Leap Frog Tag reading system, 4 games, books, sticker books, coloring books, Crayola twistables and markers, Melissa & Doug pizza party, puppet making kit, Disney princess markers, stickers, and notebook, Play dough magic swirl ice cream shop, Doodle Pro, Sweet and Sassy nail polish, lip gloss, sparkle spray, etc. Kendall- books, ball, baby doll, V-Tech electronic book, V-Tech phone, Playskool ball popper, Fisher Price learning piggy bank and Fisher Price learning puppy. Scott just said to add that he thinks it's damaging for them to have this many toys :) I am still trying to find places for all the toys and I'm already looking forward to the spring Divine Consign sale so we can get rid of some old toys. But it was a great Christmas for us with the highlight being watching Avery's eyes get HUGE on Christmas morning when she saw her Jumpolene! It's definitely fun to experience Christmas again through the eyes of a child.

Santa brought us a jumpolene too! That thing is huge, but you are right, it does make a good playpen. Jaylee only likes it though if someone is in there with her. Even though its huge and we have no where to put it, it makes a great wrestling arena for the boys too!
Craig is so jealous of seeing Avery skiing. One of these days we will have to go again. Hope you guys like the jump-o-lene. Our kids spent many hours in it. Last time it was out, it got a hole in it. Maybe one of these days we will bring it back out and try to patch it.
