LTC

Avery was so excited to be old enough this year to participate in LTC at church.  We decide to start small since this was her first year, and so she only participated in small group chorus.  The 3-6 grade small chorus was made up of Avery, Rylee Jackson, Ella McKnight, and Sebastian Archibald.  The kids practiced hard all through February and March on their songs, which included a new version of "Jesus Loves Me", "Blue Skies and Rainbows," and "Light of the World", in which Avery had a little solo.  The competition is always on Easter weekend, so on that Friday night we took Avery out of school a little early and headed over to the Anatole since her event was late afternoon/early evening.  We didn't know it until we got there, but everyone from our church who is at the Anatole tries to watch all of the events to support one another, so that was really neat.  Avery's group did great and ended up getting a gold rating!  After her event we hung around for awhile to watch the groups doing puppets and then had pizza for dinner in the Southside suite with everyone.  It was a fun evening and we are already looking forward to Avery participating in more events next year.  I forsee our family spending many Easter weekends in the future at the Anatole.
