After Christmas Kendall decided that she wanted to use some of her money she had earned/been given to buy a guinea pig. We went to PetsMart and she picked out a cute, long-haired mixed color guinea pig that she named Wilbur (which I think is such a cute name for a GP!). We bought him a separate cage from Choco since they are both males and might fight if they are together. He is adjusting well and Kendall is enjoying him!
On New Years's Eve, we had our 3rd annual appetizer dinner and fondue party. The kids really look forward to this tradition every year, as do Scott and I. Besides having yummy food and being a fun and different kind of meal than usual, it is a great way to slow down and spend a night with just our little family reflecting on the year after all the craziness of the holiday season.
