December Fun!

In the fall we bought season passes to Six Flags that are good for the rest of this year and all of 2017.  So we decided to go to Holiday in the Park one Saturday to enjoy the Christmas decorations, sledding hill, and of course, all the usual rides.  We got there just after lunch time and it was fairly warm, maybe in the 60's, but then a cold front blew in while we were there and around 4 or 5 we had to leave because we just couldn't stand the freezing wind any longer. But it was still a fun time to spend together as a family.

One Sunday after church we had a Christmas party for our small group, including a gift exchange for the kids.  It was a good time of fellowship and the kids really enjoyed shopping for gifts for the party and of course, ending up with one to take home.

Kendall's Bible class teacher always does a fun thing in the 2nd and 3rd grade classroom at Christmastime where she tells the story of the candy cane and gives them one to take home.  They love piling up on the couch in their classroom, and here they are doing just that and showing how a candy cane is really supposed to be held (as a J for Jesus).
