At the end of 5th grade, Avery had to choose a music elective for 6th grade and she chose orchestra. We went for an instrument trial/fitting and she chose the base. Such a big instrument for a little girl! But in true Avery fashion, she has caught on very quickly and is doing wonderful according to her teacher. The Beginner Orchestra had their first concert this month at BNHS. They played some easy songs like "Mary Had a Little Lamb", "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star," and "Old MacDonald," but even still, it was amazing to listen to considering that most of these kids had never played these instruments before this year. We are proud of our bassist and what she is learning!
