Kendall's 8th birthday

Kendall chose to have her party at home this year with just a couple of close friends.  It was a pizza and pajamas themed party where they did lots of things you would do at a slumber party, just without the sleeping over part (except for Katherine from church who lives in South Ft Worth).  We started off by letting the girls paint and decorate a frame and then each one had a turn in the "photo booth" with Kendall.  Later on while the girls watched a movie and the frames were dry, I printed out a picture for each girl to put in her frame.  We had some cute props and the photos turned out great.  After their craft, the girls had some pizza and fruit and then we played a few games like Twister, freeze dance, telephone, and made an outfit for Kendall out of toilet paper.   Next came opening presents and oreo ice cream pie, followed by a movie.   There were lots of giggles throughout the party and I think all the girls, including Kendall, had a blast!

Basketball Club performance at Byron

Kendall was eligible this year to be in Granger's Basketball Club and to participate in the half time performance at one of the Byron Nelson basketball games.  She had fun learning all the neat dribbling skills and especially the dance-type moves.  She was all smiles during the performance and did a great job keeping control of the ball.

Kendall's capers

Several of the grade levels got a turn on Marco's pizza night for Granger to decorate a plain pizza box to have their pizza served in if they ordered from Marco's.  This six weeks was 2nd grade's turn.  Kendall was so proud of her box and thought it was so fun!

One Friday night Kendall used her Christmas gift cards to BJ's and Family video for a sleepover with Lexi that I had prearranged as part of her gift.  They had pizza, Shirley Temple's, and a pizzokie for dessert at BJ's, then had fun watching a movie and staying up late.

Kendall has had fun this year being in Mrs. Joan's 2nd and 3rd grade Bible class.  Mrs. Joan incorporates lots of technology, candy, and fun time hanging out on the big couch in the middle of the room.  She also puts pictures from class on Facebook sometimes, which this mama really likes:)

January Fun

In January we took our second trip to the Perot museum.  The kids had a lot of fun looking at all the animal exhibits, exhibits on the human body, and doing the weather related things like the earthquake simulator and pretending to be meteorologists giving the weather forecast.

At preschool Judson's class learned about the letter "Q" and celebrated the wedding of Q and U.  All the boys dressed like quarterbacks and the girls like queens. Judson wore this jersey for Halloween 2 years ago, but he finally had a chance to wear the pants since they were way too big back then.

Avery played "office girl" using her new fashion glasses that Santa left in her stocking.  She asked me to put her hair in a bun and came up with the rest of the look by herself :)
