Lake weekend and Galveston trip

The past two weekends we have been out of town-- last weekend to the lake with our friends Nate & Lindsey and Mick and Alexis and their kids, and then this weekend to Galveston (sans kiddo) for a wedding. For our lake weekend we went to Cedar Creek Lake, which is about an 1 1/2 from Dallas. Nate's parents have a house there right on the lake that they generously share. That Saturday happened to be a beautiful day without rain (imagine that!) and we got to go water skiing, tubing, sea-dooing and swimming. Even Avery got to ride on the tube, which you can sort of see in the pics. We had a lot of fun playing on the water and catching up with friends from ACU! Scott and Avery tubing


This weekend Scott and I left Avery with my parents and took off to Galveston. One of Scott's long-time friends from Park Plaza C of C in Tulsa who we also went to ACU with was getting married. We stayed in the Historic District right by lots of shopping and restaurants just a few blocks from the bay. We slept in, did some shopping, explored the island a little bit, and had a great time seeing some college friends.

On another note, the practice officially opened last week and Scott had four patients-- which is really good for his first week. It was a VERY busy and stressful week, but hopefully things will calm down more every week and business will pick up steadily.
