Texas Ranger's Field Trip

This month the kindergarteners at Granger got to go on a field trip to the ballpark in Arlington where the Texas Rangers play.  We got to tour the media room, batting cages, dugout, press boxes, a suite, and play in the Kids' Zone.  It was cool to see behind the scenes at the ballpark and was a fun time for the kids and grown-ups alike!

Pine Cove Retreat

For the 2nd year in a row. Avery went on the Pine Cove retreat with friends from The Hills Church in Southlake.  She had so much fun last year and had been looking forward to it ever since then.  They got to ride in style on nice busses and watch a movie on the way, eat late night brownies, play pranks on the boys, go horseback riding, zip-lining, play games, worship God, and play pitch black attack.  Such a fun weekend for these kids of hanging out with friends and learning more about God.

Party Time!

Since Scott turned 40 while we were in Honduras, we celebrated a few weeks later with a party with close friends at Shady Oak BBQ.  We had dinner, dessert, and a fun time hanging out with everyone.

Birthday Lunch and 3rd Grade Market Day

Since Avery's and my Dad's birthdays are just a few days apart, we decided to meet after church on Dad's birthday to celebrate both of them with a special birthday lunch at Saltgrass.  Yummy!

Kendall and Abbi teamed up this month for 3rd grade Market Day at school.  These girls worked really hard coming up with a business idea, budgeting, advertising, baking their cookies, selling them, and calculating their profit.  They called their business "Star Shakers" and sold cookies and brownies made in mini muffin tins.  They came up with the clever idea of putting a star sticker on a few of their packages and whoever had one of those got an extra cookie.

Daddy-daughter dance 2017

For the past several years, /Scott has taken the girls to the Daddy-daughter dance at The Hills Church.  It is always a really special, fun night for the 3 of them, and this year was even more special because its Avery's last year to get to attend. They had so much fun getting dressed up, having dinner, doing crafts, dancing, and enjoying a horse-drawn carriage ride with their Daddy.

Avery's 11th Birthday!

On her birthday morning with her new converse on that Scott and I gave her

To celebrate her 11th birthday, Avery had a sleepover party with 8 of her friends.  The girls had pizza and ice cream pie, played games and "The Voice", made an iMovie, and watched Moana. Avery requested that instead of gifts, her friends give her money to donate to Mission Upreach in Honduras.  It was a fun and memorable night for our sweet 11 year old!
