Thursday night Avery had her Pre-K Graduation program at YCW. The kids put on a great little show including saying the Pledge, singing patriotic and religious songs, and they even played "Jesus Loves Me" on the hand bells. It was pretty impressive and got lots of applause from the audience! Avery was her usual performer self and plastered a little smile on her face just about the whole time she was up on stage. After the performance, there was a slide show while the kids went out and put on their little graduation caps. They were each presented with a diploma and were asked what they wanted to be when they grew up. The answers were so cute and amusing. The kids said everything from a blue angel pilot to Buzz Lightyear and everything in between. I wasn't sure what Avery would say since she has a few different things that she wants to be, but she ended up saying that she wanted to be a speech pathologist. She definitely made her speech pathologist Mommy beam with pride at that answer! It was a little sad to know that next week will be her last week at YCW after going to school there the past 4 years. It is hard to imagine taking her to a big elementary school for kindergarten in just a few short months, but I know that for the most part, she will be ready. I keep reminding myself that just like with every other stage in her life, it will be enjoyable to see all the things she learns and all the ways she grows.The kids said the pledge and sang "Your a Grand 'Ol Flag" and "God Bless America"
